Accountancy and Neutrality: Dangerous Concepts

'Neutrality is a dangerous concept.'

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— 
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— 
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Once again, the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction: it turns out staying in the Motherland proves challenging. One must flee the ever rising tide threatening to ship one and one's kin to whence we 'came from', i.e. the original Motherlands.
